Quetta – The National Party, along with residents of Mariabad and Hazara Town, organized a protest demonstration in front of the Press Club against the killing of Zakir Hussain Hazara. The protest was addressed by senior leaders including National Party’s Central Senior Vice President Mir Shauas Haider Bizenjo, JI’s Provincial Amir and member of Balochistan Assembly Maulana Hidayat-ur-Rahman Baloch, Central Spokesperson Ali Ahmed Lango, Provincial General Secretary Advocate Changez Hai Baloch, Central Committee member Dr. Ramzan Hazara, Ayaz Ali Kushtmand, and Riaz Zahri.

During the demonstration, protesters vociferously demanded the arrest of the killers and criticized the administration for their lack of action. The leaders condemned the daylight murder of Zakir Hussain Hazara by thieves, emphasizing the failure of law enforcement and the administration’s indifference, which they declared both regrettable and condemnable.

They stated that despite billions of rupees being allocated for peace and security, and the presence of police and security forces at every checkpoint in Quetta, public safety remains unguaranteed. The leaders highlighted rampant lawlessness especially in Kachhi and Naseerabad divisions where robbers roam freely without any preventive measures.

The leadership criticized the current government and assembly members who allegedly obtained their mandates through corrupt means and maintained that the public’s blood would continue to be shed if government appointments are made on monetary bases. They also condemned the government’s policy of shutting down networks and restricting travel after 5 PM as an admission of failure.

The protest concluded with strong calls for the immediate arrest of the culprits and assurance of protection for the public.

Quetta Press Club witnessed loud choruses demanding justice and accountability from the authorities.
