Quetta (PR) – The central secretariat of Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party (PMAP) expressed full support for the protest announced by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on August 5, 2025, under the leadership of Mahmood Khan Achakzai, head of Tehreek Tahaffuz-e-Aaeen Pakistan. PMAP directed its party members to participate and called on the public to join the protests across the country. The party thanked the public and workers for their participation in protests and rallies nationwide.

The statement strongly condemned the government’s use of force and violence in front of Adiala Jail to prevent peaceful protests by Mahmood Khan Achakzai and PTI leaders. It criticized the unconstitutional, illegal, and undemocratic actions of police filing FIRs against political activists and forcibly restricting protests across various districts.

The press release emphasized that peaceful, political, democratic protests are the constitutional right of every citizen and a responsibility of political parties. It highlighted the ongoing multifaceted crises in the country due to political instability and called out the imposition of illegitimate assemblies via “Form-47,” which has sidelined elected representatives and installed non-representative authorities.

PMAP demanded the immediate release of PTI leader Imran Khan, other political prisoners, and the withdrawal of FIRs against political workers. The statement also thanked the people and political activists of districts Chaman, Pishin, Qilla Saifullah, Zhob, Sherani, Ziarat Sanjawi, and Harnai for their peaceful democratic protests.

The party reaffirmed its readiness to continue non-violent constitutional protests against the illegitimate, non-political, non-democratic imposed rulers and governments.
