Quetta, Governor Balochistan, Jaffar Khan Mandokhail, has reiterated his steadfast support for women’s rights and empowerment, both at individual and political levels. Speaking during a meeting with UN Women Country Representative Jamshaid Qazi and Aisha Wadood at Governor House Quetta, he emphasized that no nation can achieve progress without providing women with equal opportunities and facilities as their male counterparts. Drawing inspiration from the divine principle that all living beings are created in pairs to complement and support each other, Governor Mandokhail stressed that sustainable development can only be achieved through collective efforts and mutual respect. He expressed pride in Pakistan’s rich cultural values and traditions, which accord women a dignified status. Highlighting the immense potential of Balochistan’s women, he underscored the need to provide them with essential facilities to realize their capabilities fully.Addressing a key concern raised by the delegation regarding the vacant position of the Women’s Ombudsman in the province, Governor Mandokhail assured that the issue would be resolved promptly, with a commitment to appoint a qualified woman to the post. He reaffirmed his vision for a society where everyone can thrive and reach their full potential, ensuring inclusive progress for all.
