Islamabad: The Media Studies Department of the University of Balochistan achieved a remarkable success by winning first place at the National Climate Justice Youth Film Festival 2025 held in Islamabad. The festival was organized by the well-known organization Indus Consortium.The awards ceremony took place on August 18, 2025, at Merit Hotel, Islamabad, with Senator Sherry Rehman as the chief guest. She praised the talented students of the University of Balochistan for their creativity and their award-winning video.The University of Balochistan was the only university from Balochistan to participate in the festival and was selected for this prestigious honor.The winning video was produced by Muhammad Haris (BS Media Studies, 8th Semester), Faisal Ali, Angela Kainat, and Robeisha Naz (BS, 3rd Semester).Other participating universities included Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar, Sindh Agriculture University Tando Jam, University of Sindh Jamshoro, and Muhammad Nawaz Sharif Agriculture University Multan.This award reflects the hard work, creative thinking, and environmental awareness of the students of the University of Balochistan.
