
Quetta, (Web Desk) The Balochistan government has decided to immediately activate the pending Jhalawan Medical College and Hospital project, following a key meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti. The meeting emphasized that the project is crucial for the health of the local population and the educational future of medical students, and any delay is unacceptable.
The Chief Minister expressed deep concern over unnecessary delays and ordered the immediate dismissal of the project director, handing over project responsibility to the Communications and Works Department. He also directed the reconstitution of the project’s PC-1 document to accelerate progress. At the meeting, attended by health minister Bakht Muhammad Kakar, opposition leader Mir Younis Aziz Zehri, and other senior officials, it was briefed that two batches of students have already graduated from the college and over 400 students are currently enrolled.
CM Bugti stressed that the future of the children must not be jeopardized and asserted that the government is committed to completing the project as soon as possible. He highlighted that completion of the medical college and hospital would not only improve medical education quality but also significantly enhance healthcare facilities in the region. The government is determined to prioritize this project and deploy all necessary resources for its timely completion.
