Zhob : Today, by-elections for reserved seats in local bodies were held across seven districts of Balochistan. Polling took place from 8 AM to 4 PM in Zhob, Loralai, Barkhan, Qalat, Khuzdar, and Surab districts under the supervision of the Election Commission.
According to the unofficial and non-binding results from Zhob Municipal Committee’s General Councilor seat, independent candidate Sattar Masih, supported by the Mitha Khan Karwan, secured victory with 28 votes.
The Election Commission’s statement confirmed that the polling process was conducted in a peaceful and transparent environment. The district administration, police, and polling staff played an active and effective role throughout the election proceedings.
Separately, District Sherani Chairman Daood Khan Sherani clarified that no elections took place in Sherani district today, dismissing circulating social media reports as baseless and unfounded.
The Election Commission remains committed to ensuring free and fair electoral processes in all areas of Balochistan.
