
Quetta, (Web Desk) – The Provincial Cabinet of Balochistan held a significant meeting under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Sardar Sarfraz Bugti at the Chief Minister Secretariat. The cabinet approved several important decisions focusing on overall provincial development, effective governance, public welfare, and security.
Among the key resolutions, the cabinet decided to activate non-hospital health facilities in selected areas with the assistance of the Pakistan Army to provide basic healthcare services at the doorstep of citizens. In the agricultural sector, a major step was approved to provide farmers with tractors under the Green Tractor Scheme, offering 50% subsidy. Additionally, agricultural trend crop reporters’ grades were upgraded from Grade 6 to Grade 11 following the Supreme Court ruling.
For energy sector improvement, a high-level committee was formed to review technical and financial aspects of 150 kW solar projects in Lasbela and Hub. The establishment of the Balochistan Mineral Development Fund was sanctioned to promote transparent utilization of mineral resources and investment.
The cabinet also approved the Balochistan Contribution Pension Scheme Rules 2025 to develop a sustainable pension system for government employees and curb non-developmental budgets in the future. Efforts to enhance digital education include the strengthening of the laptop policy.
Recruitment was approved for vacant positions across all departments, including Sports and Youth Affairs, aiming to create employment opportunities. For law and order enhancement, new police stations were approved in Kohlu, security was increased for the Mangi Dam, and CTD police stations were established in Rakhni and Barkhan, with boundary adjustments in Loralai and Sibi CTD jurisdictions. Amendments in firearm license rules ended free exemptions, and a comprehensive security policy for ministers, advisors, and assembly members was approved.
The government also reclaimed 20 acres of land given to a private medical institute on lease at the federal government’s request. Appointment of Kiran Baluch as Chairperson of the Balochistan Commission on the State of Women was approved, promoting women’s rights.
Educational progress was facilitated by approving adjustments for intern teachers from Makran and Kech. New rules for the Excise and Taxation Department and amendments for journalists’ welfare were also ratified.
Government spokesperson Shahid Rand stated that these decisions reflect Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti’s vision of an empowered, secure, developed, and people-friendly Balochistan. The government remains committed to transparency, merit, and public service, assuring that the benefits of these decisions will soon reach the people.
