Sibi, Pakistan – An explosion near a railway track in the Dungra area of Sibi on Thursday caused widespread panic and led to the suspension of all train services in the region. The incident occurred moments after the Bolan Mail Express had passed, narrowly averting a major disaster.
According to railway officials, bogie number 7 of the Bolan Mail sustained minor damage from the blast. Security forces promptly cordoned off the area, and a technical team from Pakistan Railways has been dispatched to assess the damage and commence clearance operations.
As a precautionary measure, the Jaffar Express, en route from Punjab to Quetta, was halted at Dera Murad Jamali. Similarly, the Quetta-bound train from Punjab will be temporarily stopped at Sibi until further notice.
Railway authorities have confirmed that train services will only resume once the track is declared safe for travel. All rail traffic in the region remains suspended indefinitely.
