Chief Minister of Balochistan, Sarfaraz Bugti, stated that the victims in the recent killing incident in Balochistan had no marital relationship with each other. Both individuals were previously married and had children.
During a press conference, the Chief Minister addressed the incident that has been widely circulating on social media. He emphasized that contrary to rumors, the deceased were not a newlywed couple. The woman who was killed had five children and her husband’s name was Noor.
Bugti assured that all suspects involved in the case would be arrested and prosecuted. He condemned the brutal murders, stating that neither society nor the government condones such acts of violence. The government will show no leniency towards the perpetrators.
Responding to journalists’ questions, the CM revealed that the investigation is underway. The DSP of the Special Branch from the area has been suspended for failing to report the matter to the government.
He also highlighted that no one has come forward to file an FIR, including the victims’ parents and children. During police investigations, many men have fled, while some women in the community have reacted violently against law enforcement.
Bugti noted that the video of the crime, which has been widely shared, was posted by the killers themselves. He urged the public to seek verified information before spreading rumors on social media, stressing the importance of careful investigation in today’s digital age.
The government is continuing its efforts to bring the criminals to justice as soon as possible.
